Good morning, peeps and I hope you're all keeping warm today!
'Keep it Simple' is the challenge from Digi Doodle Shop's Best this week - that means no DP and only one embellishment....hmmmm. That made me think! Well, this card is the result and I love this image of the kitten and the mouse and it's available
here. I think the way that the kitten's tail is providing a warm blanket for the mouse is just so cute and it was a joy to colour with my Copics! It's also what led to the choice of sentiment, which is from
Lili of the Valley. Anyhoo, my answer to this challenge was to sponge Distress Ink on to plain white card in three colours, Broken China, Pine Needles and Scattered Straw, splash the inked card with water, wait a few seconds for the ink to lift into the blobs of water then blot it off with paper towel - all a la Tim Holtz. The three panels going horizontally across the card are embossed with the Cuttlebug Butterflies folder then I wiped the Cut-n-Dry foam inked with Broken China across the embossing and distressed the edges with the same colour. The ribbon bow is the one embellishment allowed.
Copics used:
Kitten: E50, E51, E31, E33, E35, E99, R11
Mouse: W1, W3, W5, R11
Cushion: G05, G17, G28, G29
Cord around the cushion: YR21, YR23, YR24
Background: BG10, BG11,0
Ball of wool: E13, E15, E19
I hope you like this and do come and join us at
Digi Doodle Shop's Best for this week's challenge. I'm also entering this for the following challenges:

Broken China is one of my favourite colours. Love how you have coloured this image in - I believe "fur" is difficult to do but you have made it so real. Thanks for another delightful card from the hand of Diane.
