Did you see it then?

....Sheena's first launch show that is.

Good morning, peeps!

If you did see it you were probably amazed as I was at the range of goods available in this Four Day Deal and many of them on Flexipay.  Sounds like it could be heavily damaging to the wallet to me!

Anyhoo, with all the snow that we have outside, I thought I'd show you a nice, warm coloured card first:

The background for this one was produced with Distress Inks and the lovely Sheena Stamps were helped along with a small piece of bubble wrap inked patchily with Persimmon DI.

Here's one with a cooler colour palette:

This time I used an H2O background and painted the outline of the large flowers with Shaded Lilac DI, which I also used for the stamping.  I decided to use the Stampendous Fran-tage Silver Halo Mix embossing powder for the flower centres but, since sample cards take a fair bit of wear, I put Glossy Accents over the top to protect it.  I was quite please with the finished effect although it doesn't show that well in the photo.

Well I'll be tuned in for Sheena's next show at 1.00 p.m. and I hope you will too.

Thanks for looking today.

Flowers and Butterflies with Bling - part the second

Good morning, peeps!  It's long past time I showed you this second card with a similar theme to the last one so, ta-daah!!  Here it is:

As you can see, it's one of those impossible to photograph easel cards featuring a Spellbinders Lacey Square backed with the one of the gorgeous The Scrapcake, One Moment in Time Collection papers.  I was hyperventilating as I cut into this and had to go and buy another two sheets of the same one to replace it!  The whole collection is wonderful but the two variations you see on this card are two sides of one of the designs.

I've used just the Stampendous Frilled Butterfly stamp on this card blinged up again with the Stampendous Fran-tage Gold Halo Mix Glitter - this stuff is so effective and really shines!  I love it even though I'm not particularly a glitter fan.  I've used the same bling on the centre of the Prima flowers, which were from my stash, as was the ribbon.

I'm teaching a workshop on both of the cards (this one and the one from the last post) at Samuel Taylor, Brighouse tomorrow and there are a few places left if you want to sparkle!

Thanks for looking today and I hope you like what you've seen.  I'll be back on Friday with a new Polka Doodles Challenge so I hope to see you there.

Hugs
