Are you getting excited yet?

Good afternoon, peeps!

Well I'm getting excited now because Sheena's shows are on tomorrow - YAY!!  I'll be watching and recording at 8.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m.  There will be more Sheena at the end of the month as well, so you can put 31st August in your diary too.

For today, I've got two more samples using the 'A Little Bit Festive' collection stamps for you and here they are:

First up is that little fairy again, this time wearing a turquoise dress to go with the paper I pulled out of the ancient stash and this time with a different sentiment, but it's still a part of the same stamp plate as the fairy.  The ribbon is from Stampin' Up and is some of their Seam Binding Ribbon.

Here's Santa Baby - that sooo cute little boy in his sleigh tearing open another parcel.  This time he's coloured more traditionally and is surrounded by falling snow.  Both the snowflakes and the sentiment are from the same stamp plate that the little cutie is on.

Both images were, of course, coloured with Copics and Prismas and I must say that it's been great to get back to a bit of colouring with this batch of DT work.  Note to self:  Do more colouring!!  I'm working on a Saturated Canary image at the moment and I'll show you that another day.

If you'd like to see more of the work that I and my talented teamies have done with these stamps go here.

Have you yet worked out what you're going to watch now that the Olympics are over?  That's going to be a puzzler!

Thank you for looking today and I'll see you again soon.

....and here's another

...sneaky peek, that is!  Good evening, peeps and I'm back again with more cards to show you.

The latest news is that Sheena's preview show on Monday evening will no longer take place but stay tuned or recording on Tuesday at 8.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. for great shows featuring these new 'A Little Bit Festive' stamps and here's the first of the Loving Wishes I'm showing you this evening:

The first one has the little girl decorating her Christmas Tree in very traditional colours.  Coloured with Copics and Prismas, of course with holly ribbon and DP from my stash.  The sentiment is also part of the stamp plate.

...and now for something completely different:

This is the same image but this time stamped in Vintage Photo DI and then the colour is pulled out with a damp paint brush to look like a vintage photo!!!  Some dew drops and Victorian style DP from my stash completed the picture.  The Merry Christmas ticker tape message across the top is also part of the stamp plate and the stamp is long enough to fill the length of an A6 card which is fantastic!

I'm so looking forward to these shows on Tuesday and I hope you'll be keeping me company!

Thanks for looking again today and I'll see you again tomorrow with a final peek.

Santa Baby

Good morning, peeps!  I hope you're starting out on a fabby weekend and I thought I'd pop in again and show you a further sneaky peek at Sheena's new 'A Little Bit Festive' range.  I love this little chap - he's mega cute!

There he is in his Santa hat ripping open his prezzie without even taking the ribbon off - typical don't you think!  It reminds me of a few Christmas mornings I can tell ya!

You will have already guessed that he's coloured with Copics and Prismas, this time with a little help from Tea Green Promarker, which I find indispensable when using the Copic BG70, BG72, BG75 combination.  I cut out the image with a Labels 23 Nestie and mounted it on Stampin' Up Baja Breeze card.  The Ho, ho, ho banner was created from a stamp that is part of the same stamp plate.

I'm sorry that I can't remember who made the lovely DP that has a little touch of sparkle but it was in the box left over from last year.  The pine branches were cut with a Memory Box die, which I think was part of last year's releases but I can't find it on a site to be able to give you a link.  Anyhoo, it's a very useful die to have for the festive season.

I still have some more peeks to show you before the launch on C & C on Monday at 9.00 p.m. followed by further shows on Tuesday at 8.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. so don't forget to tune in to see the lovely Sheena demonstrating these new stamps and other products.

Thank you for looking today and I'll see you soon!

Sunny Christmas

Good afternoon, peeps from a lovely warm and sunny Yorkshire!

It seems strange to be posting a piccie of a Christmas card on such a lovely sunny day but that's what I've been working on for a week now (Christmas cards that is!!)and it's time to show you a little sneaky peek at one of Sheena's new designs that will be launched on Create and Craft TV next Monday 13th August at 9.00 p.m. and Tuesday 14th August at 8.00 a.m. and 10 a.m.

I absolutely love this image and all the ruffles on her dress give me lots of opportunity to practise my colouring, which doesn't seem to get practised enough these days.  She's coloured with Copics and Prismas, as usual and the DP is Magnolia - I think from last Christmas. I also like the way her wand is just tucked into the little basket at the back of her bike just ready to work her magic!

The ribbon is from my stash and the delicate snowflake border is a Memory Box Die - Frosty Border.

I'll be back again tomorrow to show you another of the wonderful designs in this new release but I can assure you that they're all wonderful!

Thanks for looking at this one today and enjoy the sunshine while we have it!

Still out of action

The camera that is - not me!  Well good evening, peeps - the sun is shining and all is well except I could do with it being a bit warmer since, despite the sun, it's quite chilly out there!

Since a new camera has still not been purchased, I thought I might show you one or two oldies but not yet seen on my blog-ies....oh yes, all has not yet been revealed!

Today, I've been working on some Clarity samples ready for the shows at the weekend but I don't think I showed you some from the last show:

The challenge from Barbara was to take an 'everyday' kit and make it into a Christmas scene and this is what I did with the Harbour Kit yes, it even snows at the seaside!  The snowflakes on this were made with a Whimsy die called Winter's Jewel 1.

This one was a little easier because it just involved making a Christmas scene from the Village Stamps and the Church Stamp had to be included for this one!

Finally, here is Puck sitting under the Mushrooms in the snow.  The lights weren't very kind to this card - I used Stampendous Shaved Ice to make it look really frosty but the fragments turned pink when photographed.  Maybe the camera was already on the blink.

Well I hope that all these frosty cards haven't got you shivering too much and thank you for looking today.

A little sneaky peek

Good morning, peeps!  Have you all grown webbed feet yet?  Isn't it getting boring?  Maybe when we've all given up hope of having a lovely sunny day, the sun will put his hat on and come out to play, just to surprise us.

Anyhoo, enough of this gloom about the weather, our Sheena is on the telly again tomorrow with her new stamps and other goodies, so make sure you're watching at these times:

8.00 a.m. on Create and Craft
12.00 p.m. on Ideal World

Apparently, Ideal World are having a double discount day so it could be a good time to buy, that's if they haven't all sold out on the earlier show, of course!

You're probably wondering by now how long I'm going to keep typing before I show you the pics.  Well, I have to warn you that my camera died last week :-( and the pics were taken with my phone in the absence of a camera yet to be bought (ouch!!) so what you're seeing is not truly representative of the cards as they appear IRL but it's better than nothing!

This card was made with the Highland Silhouette set using Distress Inks and a white Prisma pencil.  The Celtic corners are part of the same set and are embossed with WOW embossing powder.

This one uses the Silhouette Grasses stamps and Pan Pastels - I love the vibrant colours but the butterflies look dreadful - the phone definitely didn't cope well with the bit of bling I put on their wings!

.... and here's a final one for today that uses a mix of the two stamp plates and one of the Luminarte backgrounds I created.  There were quite a few of those but my phone camera really wasn't up to the job of capturing the effect so do tune in tomorrow and maybe you'll get a better view of them or maybe they'll make the gallery on Sheena's website.

Hopefully, I'll see you soon with some better piccies.  Thanks for looking at the not so good ones today.

Has it really been that long?

Good morning, peeps!

Well, I know I'm a bad blogger but even I couldn't believe how long it's been since I lasted posted anything here!  Note to self:  MUST do better!!

Anyhoo, I thought I'd just pop in and show you the main card for my workshop at Samuel Taylor in Roseville Street, Leeds next Tuesday morning:

You're probably thinking that it doesn't look very exciting and I don't blame you but, look what's hiding inside:

Yup, it's a fairy in hob-nail boots!  I thought it would be fun to hide her inside a concertina card waving her magic wand to decorate the Christmas Tree (it's a Marianne die really - did you guess?).  This little fairy is coloured with Copics (of course!) and her wand is sparkling with Stampendous Gold Halo Glitter.

We'll be making another card as well to explore layering images - here it is:

Apologies for the poor photo.  It features the Frosted Baubles image from Indigo Blu firstly stamped in Peeled Paint DI and then over stamped and embossed with gold.  I love this Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish die as well.  You've probably noticed that I use it quite a lot but  thought it was perfect with the shape of the stamp image.  Anyhoo, It's a good way of making a fairly quick Christmas card.

I'll be back a little sooner this time - promise!  Thanks for looking today and please leave a comment so I know that you've visited and that I'm not actually talking to myself here!
